OVERVIEW

Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) is a prominent private institution located in the Al Motamayez District of 6th of October City, Giza Governorate, Egypt. Established in 1996 through Presidential Decree No. 245, it holds the distinction of being the first private university in Egypt. The university was founded by a group led by the late Professor Dr. Souad Kafafi, who envisioned a higher education institution that would contribute to the development of Egypt through quality education and research .

MUST operates under the motto "Knowledge is Power" and is committed to providing a comprehensive educational experience that blends academic rigor with practical application. ELIGIBILITY

Undergraduate Programs Eligibility

  • Applicants must have completed at least 11 years of formal schooling.

  • A recognized secondary school certificate or equivalent accepted by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education is required.

  • Applicants should meet the minimum score requirements for their chosen program as set by the university each year.

  • Documents needed include:

    • Completed application form

    • Official secondary school certificate (authenticated)

    • Birth certificate

    • Six passport-sized photos

    • Copy of national ID or passport

    • For male Egyptian students: Military service form and military status document if over 19 years old

    • For international students: All documents must be authenticated by relevant authorities in their home country and by Egyptian embassies.

  • A medical examination at the university clinic is mandatory before registration.


Postgraduate Programs Eligibility

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a relevant field.

  • Minimum grade requirement is usually “Good” or equivalent.

  • At least one year of professional experience related to the field of study is required.

  • Documents needed include:

    • Completed application form

    • Bachelor’s degree certificate with grades/GPA

    • Birth certificate

    • Six passport-sized photos

    • Departmental approval for the program

    • For international students: a letter from their embassy approving enrollment and confirming financial status

    • A health certificate issued by the Ministry of Health

  • The university follows a credit hour system with each credit hour representing 15 study hours.

  • Academic semesters typically start in September and February, with an optional summer term in July.
