OVERVIEW

6th of October University (O6U) is a prominent private institution located in 6th of October City, Giza Governorate, Egypt. Established in 1996 through Republican Decree No. 243, it holds the distinction of being the first private university in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The university's name commemorates the October War of 1973, a significant event in Egyptian history.

The campus spans a total area of 170,000 square meters, with over 70% of the land dedicated to gardens and landscaped areas. It comprises four educational buildings, a central library, a teaching hospital, and hostels for male and female students. The central library is equipped with modern resources, providing students access to a wealth of academic materials.

O6U offers a diverse range of programs across 13 faculties, including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Applied Medical Sciences, Business Administration, Information Systems and Computer Science, Applied Arts, Media and Mass Communication, Economics and Management, Languages and Translation, Education, and Social Science. The university is accredited by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities, ensuring that its degrees are recognized both nationally and internationally.

The university is a member of the Association of Arab Universities and the Association of African Universities. ELIGIBILITY
