Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) is one of Iran's main public medical universities, established in 1974 in Tehran near the world's sixth-highest tower, Milad Tower. Since 1986, the University has been under the administrative jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education for all academic operations. It is one of the most well-known academic health facilities in the country and the region. In the national ranking entrance exams for universities, its pupils rank among the top 1% of Iranian students.
